About the Institute

Mission Statement:

The F.A. Hayek Institute of Canada was founded May 25, 2010 in Vancouver, British Columbia to promote the concepts of Nobel Laureate Friedrich August von Hayek. We exist as an organization dedicated to studying and promoting the ideas of the Austrian School of Economics. Our slogan "Promoting Free Markets, Peace, and Prosperity." effectively demonstrates this ideology.

As a private academic research institute, our focus is on the publishing of articles. The F.A. Hayek Institute of Canada is modeled predominantly after the Cato Institute, Fraser Institute, and the Ludwig von Mises Institute. The Institute is working extensively with members of these organizations, as well as other research groups, think tanks, and independent liberty-minded organizations in both Canada, the United States and worldwide.
